【News release by New Taipei City】Introducing summer time, Shifen Waterfall Park will adjust its opening hours by opening the park at 9:00 and postpone its closing time from 17:30 to 18:00 between June 1st and September 30th.
The Tourism and Travel Department of New Taipei City Government pointed out that the opening hours of Shifen Waterfall Park are separated into summer time and winter time, so during summer time (June to September), the park will be open at 9:00, and its last admission time is 17:30, and it will be closed at 18:00. During winter time (October to May), the closing hour will be one hour earlier than the summer time, and the last admission time will be 16:30 and the park will be closed at 17:00, to ensure the safety of the tourists. Given that Shifen Waterfall Park is located in a mountainous region, the Tourism and Travel Department reminds tourists to be cautious of their safety when leaving at dusk.
Shifen Waterfall Park has the largest curtain waterfall in Taiwan and its admission is free of charge, making it a major tourist attraction in New Taipei City. It has attracted many tourists from Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. The itinerary includes neighboring Yen Jing Dong Waterfall, Si Guang Tan Suspension Bridge and Shifen Old Street. Tourists can also take TRA Pingxi Line to Jingtong and Pingxi for an exploration to experience the features of those pristine small towns, the heart-moving natural landscapes, and the traditional flying lantern culture of Pingxi.
