Taipu Temple enshrines Fuyou Dijun, or Dong-bin Lu, one of the Eight Immortals. Since it enshrines Xiangong Dong-bin Lu, the temple is also known as Xiangong Temple by the locals. After 1961, management of the temple became increasingly sophisticated, and a tranquil park was constructed nearby to transform the temple into a tourist attraction. Remnants of a trench built in the Qing Dynasty in the vicinity of the temple have also been preserved. Taipu Temple is situated in a peaceful area of Sanchong, offering a quiet sanctuary for meditation and relaxation amid the bustling city.
